Who We Are

The Decolonial Alliance aims to continue/ develop conversations in the Global South and North about decolonization in universities: what it could be theoretically, what its drivers are and what the outcomes of decolonization as an ongoing process of praxis can look like. The Alliance co-produced and co-ran a successful pilot of the Decolonial Summer School in Porto, Portugal in July 2022. Last year, the Decolonizing Alliance Institute in collaboration with the Anti-Racism Lab hosted the "Decolonizing Alliance Institute: Pluriversal Dialogues on Decolonization, Indigenization, and Antiracism in Universities" workshop at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) from July 26 to 29.
